The Garden welcomes Dr. Catherine Sabota

This weekend we had our Herb Herb Society offering tours and gifts right in time for Mother's day. We always appreciate this groups efforts to educate the public on herbs.
This week I'll look forward to joining Dr. Catherine Sabota, Professor of Horticulture and Horticulture Specialist at Alabama A&M University for the latest in our green workshops. This workshop will be Thursday, May 14th from 1-3 p.m. We will demonstrate how you can save water, cut costs, save your landscape and water your garden during the driest times of the year, while using native drought tolerant plants. We will provide step-by-step instructions on how to collect water, construct a rainwater catchment system, and use it in and around your home or garden.
David Rogers "Big Bugs" exhibit is in place in the garden. Children and adults alike are enjoying these whimsical creatures! Come spend some time with us and see what is growing in the garden!
